Classified Ads Submission Guidelines Adding a Classified Ad Listing through the Classified Ads Home Page: Select Categories & Contact Display Options From the Submit a Listing link at the bottom of the Classified Ads Home Page, choose main category, then click 'Submit Main Category.' Enter contact info and select display options: choose how you prefer to be contacted by others who view your ad. From the drop-down box, select a sub-category. Begin Adding Info Next enter a brief title in the Subject line using title case; examples: 1999 Ford Explorer , or Little Tykes Playhouse . Auto/Boat/RV ads should include year of make in Subject. Please don't type in all caps! Put price(s) in ad description not in Subject. Don't use quote marks in Subject. Please don't use text symbols such as ~, + or ! to emphasize your listing. Enter a full description into the text area; since space is not an issue, avoid abbreviations and try to give as much information as you feel is relevant. If you know HTML, organize and format your ad. An aesthetic ad is frequently more successful in getting responses. Again, please don't type in all caps! Add a Graphic: Select Yes to upload a graphic: classifieds with pictures generate more interest than ads that lack a graphic. Pictures appear centered at the top of classified ads. Resize your .jpg or .gif to no more than 3 inches (215 pixels) in width, or a maximum of 10K in size. This is very important for 2 reasons – smaller pictures save our servers and speed your ad's page load time (no one enjoys waiting for a huge picture to load). More on sizing graphics. Use the Browse button to locate the graphic on your computer's drive. Please upload only .jpg or .gif files without spaces in the name; for example, name files like this: mycarforsale.jpg or my_car_for_sale.jpg Finish and Review Ad Click the ‘Submit Listing' button at the bottom of the page. Although an overview of your submitted info is presented, always review and proof your ad from the Classified Ads Home Page . Allow us a little time during regular business hours to approve your ad, then type the Subject line of your ad into the Search box from the Classifieds Home Page.
